Happy Birthday Austin!

24 months. It's official, Austin is 2!

He is now 36 in and 28 lbs.

Our little guy has grown up so fast.

We love you Austin and can't wait for another exciting year.

Austin loved all of the outside toys that he got for his birthday.

What a wonderful six years it has been. Happy birthday to our first baby. We love you puppy Sunny.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 23 Months

Twenty-three months. The background of Teddy Bear Thursdays is changing. We are getting Austin ready for his big boy room, slowly but surely. He started napping in his new room on Sunday and we have had three successful naps so far. Hopefully he will be doing all of his sleeping in his new room within the next two weeks.

Austin is doing some changing also. He seems to have sprouted again and is now over 36 inches tall. He is so verbal and is letting his opinion be known on pretty much everything. He is still our sweet little guy, but with a little added stubbornness.

Congratulations Are In Order

Our favorite coach, that would be Dean, won his 100th basketball game on Wednesday night. The team was down by nine at half and came back to win by six.

We are so proud of him and can't wait to celebrate the next win.

We love you Coach!

Unexpected Vacation

Thanks to a crazy winter storm, the whole family was able to stay home and play for four days. This picture is the ice covering our driveway after the first wave of wintery mix. It was at least an inch and a half thick on the whole driveway.

What a great time we had. Hopefully this Wednesday brings another surprise vacation and we can play in some more snow.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 22 Months

Twenty-two months.

Austin is getting closer and closer to two with age and personality. He has become so much more opinionated and forceful about what it is that he really wants to do. He is still pretty easily redirected and happy going, but the signs of more to come are definitely there.

Here he is in his favorite fireman's towel that his Aunt Emily, Uncle Andy and cousins Caroline, Lucy and Preston gave him for Christmas. It is one of his absolute favorite gifts from this year.

We had a wonderful Christmas season. We got to see lots of family and friends. We feel so lucky for everything that we have in our lives. We are looking forward to an amazing 2011.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 21 Months

Twenty-one months.

What a difference a year makes. Here is our little guy last Christmas, 9 months.

Here he is this Christmas. We cannot believe how much he has changed in such a short time. We cannot wait to see what the next year has in store.

Holiday Happenings

This has been such a wonderful holiday season already. We love watching Austin experience Christmas in a whole new way this year. He seems to be fascinated by it all. Here he is with his Christmas tree. He was such a big helper through the whole process, from picking it out to decorating it with lights and ornaments.Helping Mom trim up the lower branches.
