This has been such a wonderful holiday season already. We love watching Austin experience Christmas in a whole new way this year. He seems to be fascinated by it all. Here he is with his Christmas tree. He was such a big helper through the whole process, from picking it out to decorating it with lights and ornaments.Helping Mom trim up the lower branches. He was so excited to use the big boy tool. Hanging ornaments with Dad.
Austin rode the North Pole Express this weekend in Grapevine. He really enjoyed the trip.
Dad and Austin on their first official train ride.
Austin all bundled up to play outside. For some reason he will not wear his own hat. He wants to wear Mama's hat.
Austin hanging out with his cousin Colbie at her first birthday. Checking out the animals at the barn in Carrollton.
Here is Tyson, the sheep, eating his dinner and the two baby goats watching on.
Family photo op. Not our best, but still fun.

Dean and Austin on Halloween.
Austin got a special Halloween package from his cousin Nathaniel. Here he is with every sticker on his pajamas, a M&M treat in hand and his new shiny pumpkin. He loved that package.
Nineteen months. Austin seems to have a new word everyday. Yesterday's word was tight. We put on his shoes and he started saying tight. Maybe it is time for new shoes.Austin loves to march, play soccer and dance, then freeze and clap. He especially likes these if someone is willing to do them with him.
He is starting to say baby and point at Mama's tummy. He also likes to give Baby hugs.
Saturday started with a flu shot for Austin, a trip to Kohl's and a little Longhorn football. We quickly decided that the game was not worth watching and we needed something else to do.
Austin started trying on our Halloween extras. I think the sideburns look good on him.
Then we focused our attention on the pumpkins. This is Austin's first look inside of a pumpkin.
He was a big helper when it came to removing the seeds. He wasn't so sure about using his hands, but he loved the spoon.
The master carver at work on Austin's pumpkin.
The finished product. Austin loves his Jack-o-Lantern. He lovingly calls it Shiney.
The boys.
Cleaning out the big pumpkin. I don't mind getting messy.
We participated in the Race For The Cure this weekend. We were there to support and celebrate with our friend Jennifer. She is a six month cancer survivor. Our team name was Rack Pack and everyone looked great in their t-shirts, especially the guys. What a great day!!
It all started last Wednesday with a trip to the State Fair with Pa. Here are Austin and Pa in the butterfly gardens. We saw hundreds of butterflies and watched a rather unimpressive release of some new butterflies.
Austin's Fair favorite were the goats. I think this was his first time to see a goat in person. Sharing a corny dog with mom. He loved it so much I had to fight him for a bite.
Austin's loves to drive. Here he is in a 2011 Ferrari.
Austin started Mother's Day Out on Thursday and did a great job. I know, I am a terrible mother because I did not get a picture of his first day. I will get one this week. Our special outing on Friday was dinner with Dean before he headed off to football. Austin loves to spend time with his Dada.
Saturday we headed to the Arboretum to celebrate Nana's birthday and enjoy the wonderful fall weather.
Dean and Austin playing in the field.
Family photo op in the pumkin house.
Austin with his Nana and Pa.
Sunday we headed back to the Fair with Dada and Aunt Susan. We met our good friends Caryn and Daniel and their kiddos for some fun. Sorry to say we only got this one picture of the family standing in the shadow of Big Tex.
Needless to say after all of this activity we had a tired boy on our hands.
