Teddy Bear Thursday - 6 Weeks

Six weeks. Katie is growing more and more each week. She is also becoming more alert and interested in her surroundings. She loves to watch Austin. He thinks that is pretty cool.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 5 Weeks

Five weeks. Katie is now 10 lbs 2 oz and 22 in long.

She is such a sweet baby. Here she is enjoying some time with her Daddy. She seems to enjoy dancing with him just as much as her Mommy does.

Austin is turning into all boy. He found the mud this week after all the rain and started playing in it with his scoop. He loved it!

Four weeks. Katie is starting to move her arms and legs more and more each day. She has also found her voice.

Two weeks. Katie seems to be more alert this week and she is starting to focus on faces, if they are up close and personal.

Teddy Bear Thursday - Week One

Katie had her one week appointment today and she is now 8 lbs 10 oz and 20 and 1/2 in long.

Austin wanted his picture with the bear also. He is 25 months old in this picture. He looks so much older to us now that we have a baby at home. It is amazing how much they change in such a short time.

Introducing Kathryn Marie

Our precious little girl, Kathryn Marie, was born Wednesday, April 21 at 1:24 pm. She weighed 9 lbs 1 oz and was 19 1/4 in long. Everything went smoothly and everyone is doing well. Here are Mom, Dad and Katie for the first time.

A New Season of Life

Today is my last day as a mother of one child. The past two years have been wonderful and I have loved every minute of my time with Austin and Dean. Being able to be home with Austin has been such a blessing and I would not change it for the world. I have enjoyed watching him grow and become his own little person. It seems like there is something new to love everyday. He has brought so much joy to our family and I cannot wait to see him as a Big Brother.

Tomorrow is a big day for the Yates family. Assuming everything goes okay, we will be welcoming our newest family member into this world. We are anxious and excited at the same time. We cannot wait to introduce our little one to you.

38 Weeks and Counting

We have two weeks until our due date, April 25th. Feeling good, but getting anxious to meet our little one.

Austin says he is ready to be a big brother. We will see how he feels about that when the baby is actually here.

24 months. It's official, Austin is 2!

He is now 36 in and 28 lbs.

Our little guy has grown up so fast.

We love you Austin and can't wait for another exciting year.

What a wonderful six years it has been. Happy birthday to our first baby. We love you puppy Sunny.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 23 Months

Twenty-three months. The background of Teddy Bear Thursdays is changing. We are getting Austin ready for his big boy room, slowly but surely. He started napping in his new room on Sunday and we have had three successful naps so far. Hopefully he will be doing all of his sleeping in his new room within the next two weeks.

Austin is doing some changing also. He seems to have sprouted again and is now over 36 inches tall. He is so verbal and is letting his opinion be known on pretty much everything. He is still our sweet little guy, but with a little added stubbornness.

Congratulations Are In Order

Our favorite coach, that would be Dean, won his 100th basketball game on Wednesday night. The team was down by nine at half and came back to win by six.

We are so proud of him and can't wait to celebrate the next win.
