Teddy Bear Thursday - 30 Weeks

Thirty weeks. My how time flies! Katie is showing us more and more of her personality everyday. She loves to smile and laugh. She is such a sweet baby. Thanks for taking it easy on us kiddo.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 29 weeks

Twenty-nine weeks. Katie is having a much better week with food. She absolutely loves sweet potatoes, apples and bananas. We are going to go back and try the avocado and peas now that she is getting the hang of this eating thing.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 28 Weeks

Twenty-eight weeks. Check out Katie's hair these days. She is definitely turning into a blonde.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 27 Weeks

Twenty-seven weeks. We started feeding Katie real food this week. It has not been her favorite thing. We are hoping to find something she loves, maybe sweet potatoes.

First bite, not so bad.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 26 Weeks

Twenty-six weeks. Katie is officially six months old and loving life. She will start real food this week, hopefully that transition is as easy for her as it was for Austin. We are going to start with the green vegetables, peas, green beans and avocados. Then on to orange veggies. We will definitely post pics.

Katie had her six month check-up and she weighs15 lbs 10 oz and is 26 in. long. Her growth seems to be leveling out just a bit. The doctor expects the addition of food to change that and we should see a growth spurt coming soon.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 24 Weeks

Twenty-four weeks. Katie is really loving her puppy Sunny these days. She watches her constantly and tries to pet her whenever she can.

Just now realizing that the bear is wearing a ribbon. There is a whole new world out there for her to discover and we can't wait to be witness to that learning.

Sunny likes to be a part of the action. Here she is selecting a chalk color for her next picture.

Too Much Football

We go visit Dean at football practice at least once a week and football games, twice a week. Because of this, Austin has taken a great interest in tackling. He loves to try and strip you of the ball. Mom wasn't available to tackle, so he took it out on Bear.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 23 Weeks

Twenty-three weeks. Katie's first time in the sandbox and she loved every minute of it.

We just can't get enough of this sweet face.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 22 Weeks

Twenty-two weeks. Katie is now 5 months old and she is developing into her own little person. She has a wonderful smile, laugh and sweet disposition.

We love watching her smile at her big brother. Priceless! That's what she is doing here.

Five months for Katie and 2 1/2 years for Austin.

Austin looks like a giant in this picture. I don't know if it is the camera angle or what. No tiptoes, no jumping , he is just tall.

Twenty-one weeks. What a cutie!

Teddy Bear Thursday - 20 Weeks

Twenty weeks. Katie has decided that this is her month to really come alive. She is wanting to move more and more each day. She is reaching for everything, holding on to things, transferring things from one hand to the other and is really good at sitting up on her own. She is flirting with sleeping through the night, but can't decide if that is her thing yet. She is usually very happy and smiling a ton. We can't wait to see what the next month will bring.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 19 Weeks

Nineteen weeks.

Better late than never.

Teddy Bear Thursday - 18 Weeks

Eighteen weeks (4 months). Katie is now 25.5 inches and 14 lbs 11 oz. She is now sitting up on her own with very little assistance. She is starting to grab at everything and she can drool with the best of them. Watch out world, here I come.

Austin is 29 months and growing like a weed. He is 37.5 inches and 32 lbs. His imagination is really coming alive and it is so fun to watch him play. Right now he is loving cars and animals, Diego, UmiZoomi and the Wii. He is recognizing more and more letters and can write an A on his own. He can count to 10 and likes to practice this by playing hide and seek. He is very competitive when it comes to games, even if it is just reaching the top of the stairs first.
